4.3 Spills and Disposal

Spills

Clean up personnel should wear suitable protection including breathing protection. Ensure area is suitably ventilated. Prevent product from entering sewers or watercourses. Do not allow to mix with oxidants, strong acids or alkalis.

For small quantites rinse with water and treat the contaminated water oxidising it with hydrogen peroxide and neutralising with soda or lime. For big quantities collect mechanically in suitable containers for disposal.

Disposal

Inorganic product not to be disposed of through biological treatment systems - Product resduals to be disposed of according to official current regulations and using authorised disposal pumps. Disposal of contaminated packages: empty the package, unfold it completely and dispose of it according to the packaging material.
